Campfire Calzone

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the sunshine at Big Kids Go Wild today.

They built a campfire and everyone had a go at making a calzone or pizza.
Momo had great fun flattening out his dough on a tree stump!
While it was cooking over the campfire we went off for a bit of exploring. There was the usual tree climbing
A lot of mud squelching

And Momo sat down it! Luckily the other kids came to the rescue and pulled him out!
He was completely covered and got very cold, so ended up wearing my coat.

He looked like ET! Someone else comments that he looked like a little wizard!

Squashy loves to have an excuse to use the pocket knife he got for Christmas.
He was whittling sticks and poking about at fungus. We took some photos to try and identify it when we got home.
Momo then went back to seeing his calzone was ready, and it was and he enjoyed it so much!
We spent a little time warming up by the fire and Momo talked the ears off some older boys about Minecraft
It was a lovely afternoon, I always enjoy being in the outdoors, even if it does take two showers and a load of washing to get the mud and smokey smell off us!
